Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full time Payroll Specialist in Toronto, ON to be considered for this Payroll Specialist role, you must have PCP designation or working toward completion. Our client is a global company that provides professional services to its clients. The compensation is based around an individual’s experience

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

Full cycle processing of monthly, semi-monthly and weekly Canadian and international payrolls.
Preparation of all month end and year end payroll and benefit related journal entries and accruals, including General Ledger account reconciliations.
Processing of all payroll transactions including but not limited to new hires, changes, terminations, severances, taxable benefit calculations, accruals, disability payments and authorized deductions.
Calculation, reconciliation and remittance of all payroll related source deductions, retirement contributions and benefit related billings, including year-end remittances.
Administration of all Company benefits and employee programs, including absence and retirement plans.
Ensuring data integrity of all related payroll and benefit information in electronic formats in all payroll and carrier databases and in written format in employee personnel files.

Payroll Specialist Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 Years of full cycle payroll and benefits administration work experience.
PCP designation or working toward completion.
Strong math and payroll/benefit accounting skills with experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and General Ledger reconciliations analysis.
Demonstrated adaptability to learn various payroll/HRIS products. ADP Workforce Now & ADP People At Work HRIS experience would be an asset but is not required.
Advanced user of MS Excel, Word & Outlook with ability to adapt to new applications.
Additional non-Canadian payroll/benefits experience would be an asset but is not required.
