TIME TO POLISH UP ON YOUR AP SKILLS?

You might be looking to re-enter the workforce after a break or just needing a job for now while you decide what the next step is in your career. Either way you would like an opportunity to polish up your AP skills again and contribute to a company who will appreciate your work ethic, attention to detail and ability to get through a lot of work accurately.

Our client needs a detail oriented, dependable and consistent AP professional to help them get caught up on a backlog of work that they just haven't been able to get on top of. This is a 6 month assignment which will enable you to put your accounting clerk skills to work and participate in a professional and established office located in the heart of downtown Vancouver.

You will get to work with the controller who has been with the company for over ten years and help her process invoices, catch up on accounts payable entries and other financial records in line with their internal processes basically you get to be her booster to get on top of the backlog.

Apart from being invaluable to the team you will get to:
-Process incoming invoices including coding various expense accounts,
-Process charges against various cost centers and data entry to our ERP and Workflow systems,
-Work with Purchase Orders (e.g. tracking open work PO's) and performing Three-way Matches.
-Work with multiple vendors in trouble shooting payment issues.
-Process bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in reconciling vendor accounts,
-Meeting strict deadlines and ensuring reports are run in a timely manner,
-Enter payables into the internal processing system and manage payable entries into multiple inter-company postings,

Desired Background:
Post Secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration
Natural attention to detail and a need to have things balance and be accurate
Experience working in a high volume environment (bring your examples of what was high volume to you)
Microsoft office skills with Intermediate Excel (creation of spreadsheets, sorting, formulas etc)

This is an eyes down, get things done environment and while the team is friendly and cooperative they are highly results driven so if you need a social chatty environment this might not be the place for you.
