Our client located in Ottawa is presently searching for a Bilingual Administrative Assistant to join its team. This is a great opportunity for an accomplished administrative professional. You will play a hands-on role in supporting all vital office functions, including the coordination of priority actions, correspondence control, interdepartmental liaison and the provision of advice, communication, intelligence and interpretations. Our client requires candidates who are fluently bilingual in English and French and who have at minimum three (3) years of experience in a secretarial / administrative assistant role. As this position begins immediately we require candidates who presently hold an enhanced security clearance.

This is a contract opportunity starting immediately and ending in May 2017 with chance of extension. Our client is offering full time hours and a pay rate of $18 to $19 per hour.

Duties of the Bilingual Administrative Assistant Include:

• Coordinate all priority actions of the office ensuring prompt, effective follow-up
• Liaise with and provide support to Management Committees, as appropriate
• Compose and sign replies to general inquiries of a non-technical nature
• Control flow of correspondence in and out of the office, promoting efficient and prompt responses
• Provide analysis and recommendations, as appropriate, on significant and routine office matters
• Type letters, memoranda, reports, minutes and other material from shorthand notes, voice recordings, prepared copy and rough drafts

Job requirements (Education and Work experience):

• High School Diploma at minimum; completion of a related post-secondary program an asset
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a secretarial/administrative assistant role
• Excellent communication skills with bilingualism in English and French
• Knowledge and experience using the following software: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP
• Must presently hold an active enhanced reliability security clearance
