Document Control Job, Fort McMurray (locals only)


A short term contract opportunity as a Document Controller is currently available courtesy of Roevin. The selected candidate will commence their assignment as soon as possible till mid 2017 There will be no accommodations provided; only Fort McMurray residents are being considered for this role.

Overview:
Contribute to the success of our client?s operation by providing leadership and expertise in Document Control to their multi discipline team.

Key Responsibilities:

*Provide and demonstrate personal Safety leadership in accordance with company?s Environment, Health and Safety Program. Provide leadership in establishing a strong Safety culture within the organization, with vendors, service providers, and the contractors they engage with;

*Assist in assuring contractor compliance with existing and developed standards for preparation and transfer of accurate, professional documentation;

*Assist in the management and tracking of exception items in a database;

*Follow the processes and practices for documentation management and control;

*Receive, upload and distribute project documentation as requested by personnel and contractors;

*Ensure current documentation is on file. Categorize, photocopy, upload and file documentation;

*General clerical duties.



Requirements:

*Post-secondary education and/or training in a directly related field.

*Minimum of 3-5 years? experience in system turnover/document control in the oil and gas industry.

*Field experience will be an asset.

*Knowledgeable in turnover systems, construction methods, practices, quality assurance and document control systems.

*Knowledge of industrial construction techniques.

*Knowledge and experience with industrial construction operations.

*Proficiency with Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Professional.

*Excellent verbal and written communication.

*Proven communication, organizational and management skills.
