Engineering New Grad (Chemical)


Roevin Engineering and Technology (a division of The Adecco Group), on behalf of our client, Petro-Canada Lubricants, is currently hiring for an Engineering New Grad (Chemical) at Petro-Canada Lubricants in Mississauga. In this position, there are opportunities to gain experience as either a Process Engineer (Optimize existing or design new plant / facility processes), or as a Technical Service Engineer (Troubleshoot operating problems and optimize process efficiencies)



ENGINEERING NEW GRAD (CHEMICAL) - RESPONSIBILITIES

You will have the unique opportunity to work within one of our refining facility and Lubricants Centre in Mississauga. The position is designed to expose you to our different business areas while providing you with the opportunity to grow your personal capabilities in a supportive work environment. Some of the refinery unit operations and equipment you will learn about and gain experience with include:

- Distillation Towers
- Fired Heaters and Boilers
- Piping Systems
- Reactors
- Pumps and Compressors
- Instrumentation and Electrical
- Heat Exchangers
- Tanks and Logistics
- Waste Water Treatment Systems
- Vacuum Systems
- Steam Systems
- Blending and Packaging


ENGINEERING NEW GRAD (CHEMICAL) - QUALIFICATIONS

- Degreed Engineer, with a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Chemistry
- Motivated, self-starter who can work well independently or within a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- The desire for continuous learning
- Prior industry experienced is preferred but not required
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Mobile across Canada
- Must not have been out of school for more than one year by start date
