Commercial Construction Superintendent Job in Edmonton, AB

We are currently looking to secure an experienced Site Superintendent to fill a full time Commercial Construction Superintendent role in Edmonton, AB. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of commercial construction related experience in ICI Construction with a two year diploma and/or apprenticeship in related trades. The Superintendent will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all construction activities. Our client offers a very competitive salary and room for growth and development.

Commercial Construction Superintendent Job Responsibilities:

- Create, maintain and execute the project plan and schedule and ensures compliance with budget
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities
- Supervise, direct, coach and train Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Field Engineers, Surveyors, Foreman and Hourly staff
- Create site specific plans and procedures; ensures the implementation of
- Create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite; adhere to the safety and record keeping requirements; integrate
- Ensure all site specific plans and procedures are safe work environments; adhere to all safety and record keeping requirements
- Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards and Design requirements
- Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities and owners

Commercial Construction Superintendent Job Qualifications:

- Two year college diploma and/or apprenticeship in related trades is an asset
- 5 -10 years of construction related experience in an ICI environment
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and company operations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to lead and assess trade performance on the job
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges
- Can visualize and create the project schedule's critical path
- Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency
