Adecco is currently recruiting a Security Policy Analyst for a 1-year contract with our client, a large crown corporation based in Ottawa, ON. The Security Policy Analyst will have the overall responsibility of developing and maintaining the security quality management system; including the collection of business processes, the development of policies and procedures, and documenting resources and to support results-based management and continuous improvement.

The Security Policy Analyst will be responsible for:

- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to coordinate and lead the research and analysis, development and implementation of strategic policy initiatives impacting and/or advancing security program.
- Develops documented information on functional business processes, procedures and policies to support customer security requirements as well as compliance to regulatory and legislative obligations;
- Assesses functional performance and supports continuous improvement in order to maintain the desired level of excellence;
- Develops partnerships with internal and external stakeholder groups to support and continuous improvement and capability development;
- Cultivates a standardized system to manage interrelated business processes to optimize overall performance;
- Collaborates with senior security management to establish authority, responsibility and accountability.
- Assess inter-dependencies and analyzes the effect of modifications to the various security programs;
- Manages risks that can affect outputs of the processes and overall outcomes of the quality security management system;
- Enhances focus on root-cause investigation and determination, followed by issue-resolution leading to preventative and corrective actions.

The Security Policy Analyst must demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in policy analysis, legal or related field
- Experience in Canadian Security standards, programs, policies and practices
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with federal regulatory bodies, specifically those which have a direct impact on security program;
- Excellent written and oral skills; strong judgment and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with peers, stakeholders and senior leaders;
- Proven ability in policy development and strategic analysis (meta-policy approach)
- Ability to document business processes;
- Aptitude to manage multiple policy files simultaneously
- Established commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in security domain;
- Solution and results oriented
- University degree in Public Administration, Political sciences, or law.
- Eligible for or currently hold a Reliability Status security clearance
