Adecco’s client, a high tech firm located in Kanata, is currently searching for a Customer Service Specialist to support its Portuguese clientele. The chosen candidate will work closely with our client’s manufacturing, customer support, engineering and sales teams to ensure overall delivery of superior service and support to customers. The selected candidate will be fluently bilingual in English and Portuguese, possess at least one year of order management or customer service experience, and be available to start immediately. Our client is offering a 9-month internal contract with hours of 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday.

Duties of a Customer Service Specialist include:

• Act as main point of customer contact for Order Management
• Manage and develop key relationships with customers as well as international contract manufacturers
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding the status of current orders /shipping/ RMAs
• Input sales quotes and manage customer order data in ERP system
• Manage customer price plans and communicate with the Price Desk
• Provide back-up support to the RMA team, as required
• Communicate internally as to the current status of all orders
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Other related duties as required

Requirements for this role include:

• Ability to fluently speak Portuguese – mandatory requirement
• Post-Secondary Education in an administrative field or equivalent experience
• At least one year of relevant experience in a customer facing role or order management role required; working in a high tech environment a definite asset
• Experience in order-entry processes and functions with an emphasis on streamlining and improving order management processes
• Familiarity with Microsoft CRM, Great Plains an asset
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and diplomatic skills required to effectively manage relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts
