Regional Manager Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Our client in Ottawa is looking for a District Manager on a permanent basis.
We are searching for a dynamic, energetic, self-starting, collaborative leader who is capable of managing and overseeing the day to supervisory tasks and managing multiple facilities in Ottawa. This opportunity will combine a mix of in-office duties and on-site supervisory work.

Regional Manager Job Roles and Responsibilities

Administration
-Manage locations under his/her responsibility
-Ensure that the needs of each site are met promptly, and with a high degree of accuracy
-Manage all internal/external policies for each location
-Manage all service contracts related to each location, under his/her responsibility
-Assist General Manager and Operations Manager with the annual budgets for each location
-Attend client meetings with Operations Manager and/or General Manager (minimum 2 times per year)
-Prepare and review monthly internal audit reports and review with Operations Manager
-Prepare purchase orders and approve invoices for each location
-Conduct regular, competitive analyses to ensure each location remains competitive

Operations
-Establish, and maintain proper operational procedures (Operations Manual) for each location
-Conduct regular, on-site inspections to ensure all internal/external policies are being adhered to (staff training, customer service, uniform, conditions, etc)
-Prepare weekly planners to direct Supervisors, including follow-up to achieve business objectives
-Coordinate with Supervisors daily, to ensure proper operation of each location
-Conduct audits, as required, to achieve minimum target of 1 audit per location per month

Human Resources
-Participate in interview process and ensure hiring policies are followed for each employee
-Approve and submit all payroll for field staff

Regional Manager Job Qualifications
-At minimum two years of related experience in an operational and supervisory capacity
-Bilingual is preferred - French and English
-Must be flexible to work both in-office and on-location a various sites in Ottawa and Gatineau
-Post-secondary education preferred
-Previous managerial/supervisory experience essential
-Attention to detail
-Must be able to work independently
-Ability to multitask handling multiple customer accounts
-Comfortable with computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Hours are generally a Monday to Friday daytime schedule however flexibility is required for early mornings and some late evenings
-Must have a valid drivers license and your own reliable vehicle (mileage is reimbursed)
