Adecco Employment Services is recruiting for a full time Greeter/Usher downtown Vancouver.

The 4-6 hour shifts will be between 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. This is a contract position that will give you valuable customer service experience in a government environment, and successful candidates may be considered for full-time work in the future.

Greeter Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the lines of applicants
- Separate those applicants with special appointments
- Maintain control over the lines and entry of the applicants
- Distribute applications to the public taking into consideration the nationality of the applicants and if they need to complete other paperwork or not.
- Check all applications to make sure they are complete
- Remind the public of the time the whole process will take, and inform them that they will not be allowed to leave during this time
- Give preferential service to those applicants with mental or physical handicaps so they can avoid waiting in line for an excessive amount of time
- Provide other information assistance to the pavilion-visiting public as necessary
- Ensure that the public are treated fairly and professionally
- Respond to any crowd control emergency and alert staff as appropriate
- Ensure uniform is clean and of proper fit
- Maintain pleasant and positive attitude when dealing with the public
- Adhere to the established security rules
- Be alert to any evidence of fraud and report these instances to the supervisors
- Take action to improve service as necessary
- Investigate validity of any customer complaints and advise the supervisors
- Receive training and become knowledgeable in areas concerning information service as deemed necessary by the supervisors

Greeter Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3-5 years customer service experience, preferably dealing with large amounts of customers/crowds
- Previous experience in a security environment is a definite asset
- Intermediate computer skills, as some data entry and keyboarding is required
- Fluency in second language or languages is also an asset
- Security Level Government Clearance (Background Check) required for the position
