Governing Document Coordinator

The Governing Document Coordinator job in Calgary, AB is a full time contract position with our Oil & Gas client. In this role, the Governing Document Coordinator is accountable in governing document review and approval processes consistently across the Fort Hills operating/functional areas. Experience in governing document processes is required.

Responsibilities of the Document Coordinator include:

- Ensure consistency in governing document processes, requirements, content, form, review and approvals by using common tools and processes

- Initiate cyclic reviews of governing documents including the monitoring and reporting of document status metrics

- Execute the governing document Review and Approval process consistently across the Fort Hills operating/functional areas

- Create ECMS (Enterprise Content Management System) taxonomies and metadata for use of governing documents

- Report quality information for status reports and KPIs on a monthly basis

- Manage and assign document numbers to Controlled Operating Records

- Support OEMS and Fort Hills operations by tracking and ensuring governing document reviews/workflows are initiated and completed in a timely manner in accordance to stakeholder requirements

- Identify inconsistency and gaps in governing document workflow processes, requirements, or formats, and communicate findings to the Team for improvement

- Ability to deliver results under the pressure of critical deadlines

- Analyze document status reports to identify late/overdue documents and escalate via Governing Document Team Lead and or Information Management Manager where necessary

- Provide support and services which meet or exceed customer expectations

- Continual and sustainable process improvement to optimize business performance and identify areas where business process can be improved

- Execute day to day duties following Operational Discipline principles


- Must be able to work as an Independent Contractor
