Procurement Coordinator - multiple positions

The Procurement Coordinator job in Fort McMurray, AB is a 6 month full time contract position with our Oil & Gas client. In this role you will lead all related supply chain management (SCM) operations including planning, scheduling, coordination, and procurement. Candidates should reside in the Wood Buffalo region as this is not a camp position.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Coordinator include:

- Plan supply chain operations activities in order to supply materials and services to meet the requirements of scheduled activities and maintenance.
- Understand the plan for materials and services within the business area to develop a supply plan to achieve targeted dates.
- Support the fulfillment of unplanned work, including the review of the purchase requisition and the procurement of materials and services.
- Ensure requisition completeness including proper identification of materials and services using master data, date required and accurate usage.
- Work with business partners and suppliers to identify materials and services opportunities that extend outside of the work schedule and coordinate the associated schedule changes, including changes in delivery requirements.
- Issue and manage purchase orders through their lifecycle.
- Coordinate the reverse logistics of all serviceable and unserviceable materials according to policy and standards.
- University degree (Supply Chain or Business Administration is preferred).
- Three or more years of experience in the supply chain field.
- Prior experience in procurement and contracting preferred
- Oil and gas industry experience
- Proficient with work orders, Material Control Center (MCC), and SAP (Materials Management module).
- Knowledge of master data, order control process, supply operations process, and warehousing; contract administration knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent analytical ability and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- You work well in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines, and can manage multiple priorities on a consistent basis.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Ability to be work as an independent contractor
- Reside in the Wood Buffalo Region
