Job Description:

-Multi-provincial, multi-union, semi-monthly & bi-weekly payroll processing using in-house Payroll Software
-Managing a variety of payroll tasks, flex benefits programs, multiple vacation plans and commissioned staff on draws
-Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for multiple divisions and business numbers, while attending to the Pension Administration for Canadian employees
-Overseeing Life Insurance & LTD Claim Administration inquiries through Manulife
-Month end reconciliation of General Ledgers, SunLife, Garnishees, Union Dues, Social Clubs and Payroll Tax
-Efficient tracking of vacation days and sick days while balancing payrolls with spreadsheets using Excel
-Preparation of reports in Crystal as necessary
-Managing and archiving payroll data

Education / Experience:

-University/college degree/diploma in a Business related field and 2-3 years prior Payroll process experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
-Excellent communication skills
-Mathematical aptitude
-First level of PCP required
-In-depth knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
-Some knowledge of Crystal Reports would be preferred
-Flexibility; comfortable in a high pressure, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
-Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
-Bilingualism in French (mandatory)
