Responsibilities - Controller:

Provide effective and engaged people leadership to the finance team in service of our Service Line partner community
Full responsibility for sign off of period end-close, tax, and year end processes
Co-ordinate and oversee interaction with internal and external auditors, reviewers, internal audit, & risk teams
Co-ordinate and direct General Ledger system changes necessary to ensure that all reporting requirements can be achieved
Oversee preparation and maintenance of all firm financial statements and accounts
Identify and implement standardized finance and accounting best practices across all finance teams
Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience and Requirements - Controller:

Accounting or finance degree with CA designation or equivalent.
5-10 years of finance and accounting controllership or equivalent experience large or complex organization
Demonstrated strong and effective people leadership skills
Engaging people manager, having managed mulitple departments in the past.
Attention to details without losing sight of the larger picture.
Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and technical accounting knowledge.
Strong oral and written communication skills with experience communicating to Executive level.
Must be comfortable working with senior firm leadership and partner community
Ability to plan and lead projects with multiple stakeholders.
Large ERP experience is an asset (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Great Plains.)
Advanced knowledge of managing professional services finance and accounting systems
Advanced project management expertise
Ability to work with ambiguity and manage computing concurrent priorities
