Adecco is currently hiring for a Hedge Operations Analyst in Downtown Toronto, ON. To qualify for this Hedge Operations Analyst role, you must have a Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics, working knowledge of derivative valuation concepts for vanilla instruments such as swaps, futures, forwards, options, a deep understanding of a broad range of securities classes and financial records, solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, VBA), and good interpersonal and organizational skills. Our client is a highly professional financial services organization. This Hedge Operations Analyst role is a 12-month contract and has a pay rate of $45.00 per hour.

Hedge Operations Analyst Responsibilities:
• Responsible for validation of trading parameters on a daily basis, ensuring that the liabilities sensitives are correct and that the intraday risk monitoring system is operations properly
• Responsible for monitoring of the liability generating system and all end-of-day processes, which are inputs to the intraday risk monitoring system and all subsequent liability reporting
• Understand and provide insight into the flow of data through the VAH databases and file servers
• Responsible for running the daily performance attribution reports for the dynamic hedging program, which decomposes the asset and liability gain and loss movements into discreet buckets
• Run a daily macro hedging report
• Responsible for performing quarterly reporting, utilizing the asset reporting system
• Responsible for synthesizing knowledge of the liability, asset, and data systems used by VAH to provide insight, analysis, and novel reports of VAH performance
• Liaise with Global VA Hedging, Equity Risk Oversight, and VAH Front Office on projects which require multi-party input

Hedge Operations Analyst Qualifications:
• Relevant undergraduate or graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Economics
• Working knowledge of derivative valuation concepts for vanilla instruments such as swaps, futures, forwards, options, etc. is an asset
• Deep understanding of a broad range of securities classes and financial concepts
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities, ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think through problems, assess a variety of factors, realize implications of actions, and recommend solutions, with a keep interest to detail and accuracy
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VBA an asset), as well as database design and system query language
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills and a degree of professionalism combined with the ability to readily adapt to rapidly changing investment business and technology environments
• CFA and/or FRM/PRM an asset
