UI Designer skills:

Sketch, design and prototype solutions for multiple platforms.
Create elegant, responsive web layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile.
Create beautiful, clean native app designs.
Employ a user-centered design process to support the overall business strategy.
Stay on top of emerging UI standards and trends.
Produce engaging animations, illustrations, iconography, and infographics.
Collaborate on end-to-end iterative UX projects, including persona creation, experience mapping, wireframing, and high fidelity prototyping.
Share and revise designs based on peer review, user research and user testing.


Empower everyone to think about the user when working on any design solution.
Seek out and leverage the insights from our research and analytics teams to inform designs.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with everyone at the Canada Post.
Contribute and improve UX design standards and guidelines.


UI Designer Qualifications:

A degree in Design (e.g. visual communications, graphic, interaction), or equivalent practical experience.
A portfolio of visual design work samples for web and mobile applications that demonstrates a proven track record of beautiful and simple design solutions.
Passion for solving design problems while understanding that great experiences come from collaborative decision-making.
The ability to use pencil and paper for sketching ideas and lo-fi prototypes, and knowledge of digital design and prototyping tools.
An appetite for technology and desire to stay on top of evolving visual design best practices and global mobile product trends.
Knowledge of user-centered design practices, usability, and accessibility.
A soft spot for typography (kerning/tracking/leading are words you use on a daily basis).



UI Designer nice to haves:

Experience designing native mobile apps on iOS and/or Android.
Experience in motion design and microinteractions.
Familiarity with front-end development.
