Adecco is currently hiring for a Reconciliation Specialist in Toronto, ON. To qualify for this Reconciliation Specialist role, you must have post-secondary education or minimum 2 years work experience in reconciliation in a banking or securities administration environment, successful completion or enrolment in the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), knowledge of securities instruments/settlements, foreign exchange and derivative instruments/settlements and banking processes, investment accounting knowledge, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and processing systems such as Bloomberg and Reconciliation systems, and good problem-solving skills. Our client is a highly professional financial services organization with a focus on insurance. This Reconciliation Specialist is a 6-month contract and has a pay rate of $17.25 per hour.

Reconciliation Specialist Responsibilities:
• Responsible for reconciliations of cash balances, cash transactions, and securities holdings across all portfolios
• Managing tight deadlines, with involvement in problem resolutions and timely investigations with custodial banks, and various internal counter parties
• Responsible for the administration of the assigned investment portfolio activity including:
o Reconciliation of cash balances and cash transactions across all portfolios
o Reconciliation of securities holdings across all portfolios
o Involvement in problem resolution and investigations with custodial banks and various internal counter parties
o Timely investigation and response to internal client inquiries
o Maintain daily and monthly reconciliations filing with proper back up documentations
• Remain familiar with relevant securities industry developments specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and/or internal clients and custodial provider
• Adhere to and reinforce established SOX documentation

Reconciliation Specialist Qualifications:
• Post-Secondary education or minimum 2 years work experience in reconciliation in a banking or securities administration environment
• Successful completion or enrolment in the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
• Knowledge of securities instruments/settlements, foreign exchange and derivative instruments/settlements, and banking processes
• Thorough knowledge of complex securities would be an asset
• Investment accounting knowledge
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and processing systems such as Bloomberg and Reconciliation of clients
• Good problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrate initiative and be a team player
