Roevin Engineering and Technology (Division of Adecco) is currently hiring a maintenance lead hand. Full time permanent job. Competitve pay and benefits are offered.


Repair and maintain all equipment and machines, including modification of existing equipment and installation of new equipment, ensuring efficient, safe operation of all machinery with the shortest downtime.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, tune equipment, ensure adequate control and security measures are established and enforced.
Programming logical controllers and peripheral devices used to control automated machinery.
Troubleshoot PLCs and communication between pieces of equipment.
Develop new PM’s as required, and ensure all PM tasks completed by due dates.
Supervise the team members and contractors, monitor work progress and final inspection upon completion of work.
Keep inventory on stocked spare parts, make requisitions for new spare parts as required.
Provide training for members of the plating maintenance team.
Work with the Electrical Supervisor to learn all requirements of the plating maintenance department.
Work as the Electrical Supervisor’s backup in his absence.
Maintain a safe and clean workplace environment.
Perform all work in good standard.

Include but are not limited to the following:
• Inform workers about the hazards and dangers of the job and within their area, and respond to their safety concerns.
• Ensure workers follow the law and Company’s's H&S policies and procedures.
• Make sure workers wear and use the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and protective devices and know how to work safely.
• Conduct safety talks or training with the workers, and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
• Conduct performance appraisals for workers' safety performance.


Educational Requirements: Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) or higher, Licensed Industrial Electrician 422A
Minimum Experience/Field: Previous experience with supervising others in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Computer Skills: PLC Programming, Allen Bradley, Omron, good working knowledge of MS Office Applications. Knowledge of SCADA software, PLC communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS485, etc.
Additional Certificates/Diplomas: Licenses/Permits Required: Industrial Electrician 422A
Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders as required, lift 40 pounds, and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
