Our client is a major manufacturer of an integrated range of products for the construction industry. This client continues to innovate and improve on their existing product range, and have done so successfully for over 50 years. We are currently hiring 2 maintenance technician (Industrial Mechanic) for this client as they are expanding again. Our client is looking for reliable, motivated and experienced candidate. Successful candidates must be able to work well under pressure, work as team and have a positive attitude. If you are reliable, have excellent communication skills we want to hear from you.

As a Maintenance Technician, you have the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

Maintain equipment inventory to support preventive maintenance programs and minimize downtime
Promotes a sense of urgency and supports all Health and Safety initiatives
Modify and fabricate equipment, assist with installation of new equipment
General facility maintenance as required, including structure, lighting, doors, HVAC, etc
Maintain safe condition of maintenance area and any areas worked in


Experience in a continuous automated production environment is essential
Prepared to work in a 3-shift rotating pattern
Able to be available for overtime as needed and flexibility in times taken for breaks and lunches to support production and maintenance activities
Licensed skilled trade (millwright) background
Experience in a continuous automated production environment is essential
Strong troubleshooting ability is a must
General machining essential, cutting, grinding, drilling, milling, electrical, plumbing, fabrication. MMA and MIG welding a necessity
Must be a demonstrated decision-maker who easily interacts with others, and who adopts a 'hands-on' approach to leading and motivating a team
Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Office, Windows and e-mail
Continuous improvement mindset and experience
Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
Knowledge of WHMIS and OH&S regulations
Forklift/Scissor lift/Arial Work Platform license preferable
Electrical and basic automation skills are ideally preferable
