Roevin Engineering and Technology is looking to fill a manufacturing engineering technologist position for our client. Position is full time permanent. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Incumbent is responsible to ensure that product manufacturing meets all customer or legislated codes and standards with attention to detail from the design stage to the finished manufactured product.

Manufacturing Engineering Technologist - Specific responsibilities will include:
- Develop efficient manufacturing methods for production.
- Maintain customer revision and internal engineering changes.
- Communicate with customer & suppliers about design issues and manufacturability.
- Input on proposals for methods, equipment improvements and modifications.
- Under the guidance of the Sr. Engineering Technologist conducts research into cost, properties of production materials and methods of production.
- Design and develop fixtures & tooling to improve manufacturing techniques, processes, reliability and frequent use.
- Under the guidance of the Sr. Engineering Technologist create and maintain bills of material in the company database.

Manufacturing Engineering Technologist - The ideal applicant would have:
- Certified Engineering Technologist of Ontario (CET) Certificate or P.Eng would be an asset.
- University of College Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Proficient knowledge in Computer Systems and Software
- Practical knowledge of Industrial Processes (machining, welding, and metal working processes industry related.)
- CAD/CAM knowledge (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MasterCam preferred)
- Software experience with MS Excel, Word, Access and Project.
- Experience in Lean/5S methodology
