Plant Manager (Automotive)

Roevin Engineering and Technology (A division of Adecco) is currently recruiting for a Plant Manager located in the north end of the GTA, for an opportunity to work with well established and respected, automotive manufacturing company. Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as an automotive Plant Manager having worked with presses, tooling and stamped and welded assemblies. You will be working for a fast growing company with a dynamic culture and excellent benefits.

REQUIREMENTS – Plant Manager (Automotive)

- 10+ years’ experience in the automotive industry.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Plant Manager in the automotive industry
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision making skills, with the ability to motivate, influence, and train people
- Firm understanding of all aspects of the APQP processes, as well as automotive quality and environmental requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES – Plant Manager (Automotive)

- Plan, direct, and coordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives
- Supervise the entire operation of production, tool room, maintenance, and logistics under the guidance of the GM
- Maximize the efficiency of operation to ensure effective direct and indirect employee utilization
- Manage the material, inventory control, and production­ scheduling tasks in order to ensure effective inventory turns
- Analyze delivery and inventory issues and provide solutions
- Participate actively in standardization, continual improvement, and cost reduction activities
- Establish and control conditions of production in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications
- Monitor and update Key Operating Indicators (KOI’s / KPI’s) as defined by management, ensuring targets are met
- Promote house-keeping disciplines to ensure overall cleanliness of the shop floor
- Maintain employee safety and morale by creating a safe working environment in compliance with the “Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations”
- Create and maintain a healthy team atmosphere to resolve issues positively and creatively
