Adecco is currently hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor for a client located in Toronto, ON. In order to be considered for this position the successful candidate needs to have at least seven years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial processing equipment and coordinating a team of four maintenance workers in an industrial environment.
Our client is one of the oldest uniform suppliers in world with locations across the globe servicing over 4 million clients across the country and employ over 30 000 people. The position of Maintenance Supervisor is one of the more senior roles in the organization as the incumbent is responsible for all of the machines in the location.
The compensation package is a base salary plus a bonus structure dependent upon performance, 2 weeks’ vacation, RRSP/DPSP contributions, full benefits and continual training to their staff.
The Maintenance Supervisor Key Responsibilities Include:
Ability to improve functionality and reliability of all production and facility equipment – including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components
Assess and prepare any records, developing and implementing safety processes and procedures, managing and scheduling all plant and equipment work assignments and any additional reports
Provide support to the purchasing team by negotiating with service companies as well as identifying and evaluating parts suppliers
Responsible for managing building, equipment, capital expenditures and parts and labour budgets
Effectively provide training, supervising, reporting, mentoring and working with maintenance team
The Maintenance Supervisor Mandatory Qualifications Include:
Have at least 7 years of experience working with industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment along with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
Ability to work with equipment including – wiring, electrical, electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing
Have maintenance management experience including scheduling, planning, budgeting, negotiating parts and vendor management, as well as exposure to maintenance management systems
Strong analysis and stakeholder management experience along with the ability to work with several staff members
Flexibility to cover all shifts as company is a 24/7 facility – if someone is not available might have to cover shifts
Able to work with blueprints and maintenance literature
Experience with welding activities including MIG, TIG and ARC
Boiler and HVAC experience preferred
Certifications such as CPMM or CRMP is preferred
Superior organization, prioritization, independent work and time management skills
Exceptional computer skills including working with CRM Systems and Microsoft Office
