Roevin Technical People is currently hiring for a full time permanent Thermal Systems Engineer in Toronto, ON. To be considered for this Thermal Systems Engineer role, you must have minimum four years relevant experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering. This will be a great opportunity for someone to gain more experience on projects, proposals and become a well-rounded systems engineer. Travel outside Canada could be a crucial part of this role.

Thermal Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities:

Design of refrigeration systems in climatic test facilities. Related components include compressors, evaporators, chiller packages, cooling towers, heat exchangers, heaters, steam boilers, pumps, piping, make-up air systems, air handling systems and air distribution duct systems
Cross-discipline Interfacing. The candidate must work with Aerodynamicists, Mechanical Engineers and Controls Engineers to ensure proper definition of facility design and interfaces
Authoring and co-authoring technical drawings to define the designs and interfaces. AutoCAD is used for their thermal systems drawings
Define the specification of thermal systems, including sub-systems and their installation requirements
Oversee thermal systems equipment installation conducted by subcontractors at site, and
Coordinate thermal systems interfaces and supervise related equipment start up, in preparation for complete facility controls tuning.

Thermal Systems Engineer Qualifications:

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering OR Process Engineering
P.Eng OR Eligible to get P.Eng. status
Minimum four and maximum seven years' relevant experience in designing and commissioning
Minimum three years' experience with large refrigeration systems (up to 10 MW) and thermal process design, ideally including some experience with dynamic response cooling systems.
Understanding of process controls design and electrics
Experience working with multi-discipline project teams, other engineers and designers
Excellent analytical skills and writing skills
Additional Languages are an asset as may be useful for travelling
