Payroll Supervisor l $87K - $102K+ l Burnaby l Permanent

Adecco Professional has partnered up with one of Greater Vancouver’s high profile organizations to seek for a Payroll Supervisor. You will get to lead the Corporate Payroll function as well as design, develop and implement changes to the payroll system. The successful candidate will be rewarded with great benefits and an excellent team environment.


Supervises payroll processes and procedures and ensures the payroll is compliant with regulatory, audit and collective agreements requirements.
Supervises the design, development, testing and implementation of changes or updates to the payroll and time entry system. Identifies system or process enhancements and makes recommendations
Provides guidance for non-routine problems and enquiries and investigates and resolves issues escalating matters to IT as required. Identifies ways to streamline payroll processes and implements sustainable and cost saving measures where possible
Plans, coordinates, supervises and reviews the preparation of the annual, monthly and bi-weekly payroll reports.
Directs and oversees the preparation of annual T4 documents.
Reviews and approves pay and benefit adjustments, deductions and monthly benefit carrier remittances.
Produces ad hoc payroll reporting to managers, when requested.
Participates in and makes decisions related to unique and sensitive payroll matters such as terminations, severances, garnishments and pay recoveries. Liaises with Human Resource and implements processes and action in accordance with all relevant regulatory, legislative, collective agreement and corporate provisions.


Minimum 5 years of recent, related experience supplemented by post secondary education or relevant diploma
Designation as a Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) with the Canadian Payroll Association.
Supervisory experience in full-cycle payroll operations for a complex multi-union employer
Knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft HRMS or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning solution (ERP), including Payroll forNorth America
Sound knowledge and ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations such as the Employment Standards Act and Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements.
