IT Project Manager Job in Edmonton, AB
The Project Manager is responsible for developing and managing technology related projects for customers by actively managing schedule, scope, risks, and budget constraints. Primary duties include evaluating project proposals, creating and maintaining a project charter that communicates tasks, scope, milestone dates, status, risks, resource allocation, and managing budget utilization.

As Project Manager, you will lead and manage projects through their lifecycle from initiation to close. You?ll be primarily managing multiple complex customer projects using a mixture of solutions. Alongside the other Project Managers, you will be responsible for ensuring that the portfolio of projects is prioritised, resourced and scheduled out to meet internal utilization, backlog and resourcing targets and external customer timeline and budget expectations. You will manage the relationship with the client during these projects ensuring that there is strong and frequent communication between the customer and the project team. You will also ensure that the agreed deployment schedule is met and that internal and external acceptance and handover is successful.

IT Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

*Deliver quotes produced by the team to required stakeholders, identifying all assumptions.

*Creation and review of Project Charters, fully detailing the schedule, scope and budget, along with resources, roles and responsibilities, risks, stakeholders and constraints.

*Act as an escalation point during Project Delivery for internal and external stakeholders in the event of issues, questions or critical status updates.

*Review completed projects for adherence to process, schedule, scope and budget as well as accuracy, communication, customer satisfaction and issues and report findings both internally and externally.

*Manage projects and portfolio to ensure prioritization and schedule maximizes utilization, profitability and customer satisfaction.

*Create and review project proposals; identifying objectives, schedule, scope, budget, needs and risks.

*Review, revise, submit and annotate project invoicing monthly.



IT Project Manager Job Qualifications:

*Knowledge of ITIL standards

*Knowledge and experience in cross-functional project management methods and techniques

*At least 3 years of relevant industry experience

*Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software and equipment

*Excellent oral and written communication skills

*Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly

*Awareness of all organization products and services

*Understand of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services

*Excellent customer service skills

*Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment

*Understanding of business terminology and effective delivery

*Very strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships, solicit co-operation and resolve conflicts with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.

*Experience in business analysis, profit/loss responsibility and a good understanding of financial concepts.

*Level headed and respectful, even when faced with difficult customers and team interactions
