Our client is a major manufacturer of an integrated range of products for the construction industry. This client continues to innovate and improve on their existing product range, and have done so successfully for over 50 years.
We are currently hiring Quality Control Technician for this client. Our client is looking for reliable, motivated and experienced candidate. Successful candidates must be able to work well under pressure, work as team and have a positive attitude. If you are reliable, have excellent communication skills we want to hear from you.

Be the major quality communication channel between the operators and management
Answer quality calls from shop floor personnel in a timely manner
As issues are discovered immediately communicate them to production supervisors
Exercise judgement on the significance of quality issues, ask for a correction or line stop when necessary
Make Good/Hold/Repair/Reject calls about minor raw material and product issues
Notify management of significant quality issues as they arise
As issues arise, work with production personnel, supervisors and managers on containment and corrective actions
Document all issues in the Quality database, take pictures where possible
Review and sign off on production records as required, audit production at certain stations as required
Testing and measurements
Conduct testing of incoming raw materials, including coils and foam chemicals
Record test result and delivery parameters, review them for conformity
Carry out periodic dimensional measurements and other evaluation of product, including End of line checks, Post cure checks and Trim shop checks
Record and report the results of all testing and measurements as required
Constantly audit the whole plant and report outages from any area
Prepare weekly quality review presentation, and present it at the weekly quality meeting
Lead the weekly quality meeting with the QC manager's help
Coach production employees, be an example of quality focus
Carry out field service repairs
Participate in maintenance projects
Participate in periodic operator cross trainings
Participate in continuous improvement projects
Communicate with other departments such as purchasing and customer service, as necessary
Execute other quality procedures as required
Support production with splices, break reliefs and other tasks as approved by the QC manager
