Our client is a major manufacturer of an integrated range of products for the construction industry. This client continues to innovate and improve on their existing product range, and have done so successfully for over 50 years.
We are currently hiring Shipping Manager for this client. Our client is looking for reliable, motivated and experienced candidate. Successful candidates must be able to work well under pressure, work as team and have a positive attitude. If you are reliable, have excellent communication skills we want to hear from you.
Coordinating the day-to-day operations for all aspects of logistics including distribution and shipping. Arranges warehousing and shipping of product to customers. Investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.

Essential Duties:
Responsible for performing tasks involved in traffic logistics management, including data entry, invoicing, product distribution and inventory control and requisitions.
Interface with vendors to ensure timely shipment to the customers.
Troubleshooting breaks and/or inefficiencies in distribution.
Provide services that guarantee timely and accurate delivery of goods manufactured by third parties inside or outside the organization.
Schedule and coordinate shipments to meet internal and external customer requirements
Make calls to customers, vendors, and transportation services to arrange logistics in timely manner.
Ensure correct Customs documentation for incoming and outgoing loads
Submit reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Ensures that all rules / policies stated within the Employee Handbook, the Company Safety Programs and, any federal or state guidelines / laws are being adhered to within the work cell.
Communicates to other Team Leaders and the Plant Manager when Policy violations are noticed within own work cell or other work areas of the facility.
Reports infractions to the Plant Manager.Participates in any required disciplinary action.
Establish an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the work station/cell.
Promote and sustain management programs designed to continuously improve internal processes.
General administrative duties
All other duties assigned as required

Education/Experience:
College degree or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years experience working in logistics and/or supply chain management.

Computer Skills:
Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook and SAP

Other Skills and Requirements:
Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
Must be extremely proactive, organized and deadline oriented.
Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task effectively.
A team player, who should also be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Customer service oriented.
Demonstrates analytical and problem solving skills.
