Our client "Arcelor Mittal Hamilton East" has asked Adecco to recruit 2 Millwrights for their facility.

ArcelorMittal Montreal Inc., Hamilton East is part of the Long Product Segment of ArcelorMittal Global Company and is one of 11 locations in Quebec and Ontario. Located in Hamilton, the facility processes rod and bar and manufactures drawn and annealed wire for cold heading applications. Additionally the plant produces high carbon wire for springs, oil tempered carbon and alloy steel wire for springs, torque rods and mining screens, low relaxation strand for pre-stress concrete use and wire for many other industrial production applications.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years related experience and the following are the responsibilities:

•Receives written or verbal instructions relative to job assignment
•Reads blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
•Inspects equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication and takes appropriate action to correct condition.
•Dismantles, repairs, installs, maintains, assembles, modifies and lubricates equipment
•Assembles and aligns gears, bearings and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits
•Checks and repairs hydraulic systems
•Operates machine tools such as drill press, pipe threading machine, power saw etc
•Changes, sets-up, and adjusts equipment as required by operating conditions
•Operates gas generating and drying equipment to supply proper mixture of gas and air to the processing units
•Inspects and repairs all combustion equipment and recorders in the field and/or shop
•Tests atmosphere to meet confined space entry, and cutting and burning permit requirements.
•Performs gas and electric in position welding
•Operates and maintains acid receiving system
•Takes designated action in the event of indicated sprinkler failure.
•Perform minor plumbing repairs
•Repairs to high and low pressure piping as required, which includes, pipe lines for air, water, steam, oil, gas, acid, caustic, etc.
•Makes and seals various types of joints such as, expansion, flange, nipple, couplings, unions etc
•Performs routine boiler blow-down and water column tests
•Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporary continued operation will have no harmful effect
•Works with repair crews as directed on emergency breakdowns
•Keeps immediate working area in a clean and orderly condition
•Observes all safety regulations for the safe performance of his duties
•Determines best way of making repairs to minimize production delays

HOURLY WAGE PLUS SHIFT PREMIUMS
