Roevin Engineering and Technology is looking to fill a Machinist position for our client. Position is full time permanent. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.


Machinist job - Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Responsible for the fabrication, installation, set up and machining of new or replacement welded components or parts to fulfill custom specifications, customer orders, tooling demands and in house maintenance requests. Incumbent will select appropriate tooling to complete task in a timely manner. Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment to assure tolerances meet customer specifications.


Machinist job - Specific duties of this role will include:
- Ensure all parts comply with the blueprint specifications and quality standards. Parts that are out of specification or damaged are to be segregated and quality assurance notified for disposition.
- Set up and machine weldments to drawing specifications
- Select appropriate tooling for job requirements.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
- Communicate and assist co-workers, operators, supervisors, and leadhands when required.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & safety Regulations and Organizational Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Follow all lock out procedures when doing repairs, and adjustments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.


Machinist job - The ideal applicant would have:
- Grade twelve education or equivalent
- Basic reading, writing, and some advanced mathematic skills
- Positive attitude
- Understands safe work practices
- Advanced Skills (Journeyman or equivalent experience)
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience using one or more of the following machines: Bullard, Schiess, drill press, Toshiba, Haas.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team must have excellent problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of cranes, forklift trucks, and various lifting devices and equipment.
- Ability to frequently lift materials up to 30 pounds is required / WHMIS training.
- Journeyman Certificate (an asset)
- PLC Programming Experience
- CNC Experience
