Roevin Engineering and Technology is looking to fill an electrician position for our client. Position is full time permanent. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Electrician job overview:
The Maintenance Technician (Electrical Trade) will install, service and repair a variety of plant equipment. The successful candidate will participate and assist in establishing an environment which reflects craft flexibility and teamwork. Each individual is responsible for maintaining and enhancing their skills as well as sharing their skills and knowledge with others. This position primarily works a day shift with the potential of moving to a shift position.

This job requires some heavy lifting, use of ladders, and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers. This position requires the ability to work in a variety of different work environments both indoors and outdoors. Overtime is a requirement of this position.

Electrician job - Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Repair a variety of high and low voltage distribution systems, PLC/Allen Bradley operation and program troubleshooting, electrical/instrument control device settings and calibrations
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and repairs
- Implement preventative and predictive programs/assignments for electrical systems
- Maintain equipment histories as required
- Plan and estimate jobs, including assessment, selection of material, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

Electrician job - Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program holding Construction & Maintenance 309A Electrician Certificate
- Minimum 4 years? refinery or related industrial experience (post apprenticeship)
- Fully knowledgeable of high and low voltage distribution systems, DCS control system operation and configuration, PLC operation/programming, electrical/instrument control device settings and calibrations, etc.
- High level of computer literacy
- Knowledge of SAP a definite asset
- Fully knowledgeable of W.H.M.I.S. and OH&S regulations
- Successful completion of a community college program as Electrical Technician / Technologist.
