* IMMEDIATE START DATES *

The Journeyman Welder job in Northern Alberta is a short-term contract position with our client. The successful candidate will have a journeyman welder certificate and a minimum of 5 years of welding (by hand) field experience working on major oil and gas projects in Northern Alberta. Camp accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities of the Journeyman Welder job include:

Welding and Fabricating
- Weld and fabricate a variety of heavy equipment (e.g., cranes and forklifts) and machinery components.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Plan and fit welding wear packages on buckets.
- Perform welding repairs on equipment as necessary.
- Provide additional support as needed.

Work Orders and Design Documents
- Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in all required Health & Safety Training.
- Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices.
- Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe
- Comply with our client’s Equipment’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications of the Journeyman Welder job include:
- Red Seal Journeyman Welder certificate
- 5+ years of site-based experience on major oil and gas projects
- Valid OSSA orientation or BSO
- Up-to-date OSSA Fall Protection and Confined Space/Entry certificates
- Zoomboom operators certificate
- Stainless steel and chrome carbide overlay experience
- First Aid certification and other additional safety training is considered a strong asset
