A Rotary Press Operator job is currently available in Brampton, Ontario. The selected candidate will, ideally have a Grade 12 minimum Community College Graphic Arts preferable. As well Five to 10 years as a journey man press operator. This is a great opportunity for to work for a solid reputable company in Mississauga. This is a Permanent Position.

Responsibilities of the Rotary Press Operator include:

Primary purpose of this position is to print accurately business forms and other products to high quality standards. To set up a 6 to 8 colour press with U.V. driers using various inks and substrates and run same at maximum speed, generating the least amount of waste.







Read and interpret docket instructions









Set up the press as required following docket instructions re: mount and register plates, perfs, slitters, hole punches, numbering and designation units, die units and U.V. curing, re-registron unit.






-Run the press to the maximum speed possible as determined by the job complexity and quality expectations on roll to roll, fanfold, sheeted product
-Trouble shoot problems such as poor registration, quality, ink and solutions, roller settings and wear and minor mechanical break downs
-Conduct training of junior pressmen or those moving to the next level, specifically 4 over 4 colour process and U.V. inks and systems
-Ok’ing other operators work while supervision not available. Communicate all pertinent data re: numbering, impressions run, problems encountered and job status with fellow operators and supervision


Qualifications of the Rotary Press Operator:

-Very strong knowledge of rotary press equipment
-Four colour process experience
-U.V. Driers
-Re-registron unit
-Die Cutting
-Excellent understanding of inks, solutions and substrates
-Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting ability
-Strong knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as sheeters, folders, densitometers, durometer gauge, micr qualifier
