The Infrastructure Supervisor job is a full time contract role based in Northern Alberta with our Oil & Gas Owner client. You will have a minimum of 5 or more years? relevant site based O&G experience, within a construction team. A Journeyman certificate is also required. Proven capabilities with reporting, infrastructure Management, special projects, and EH&S is needed for success in this role. This site based position is a 7/7 day FIFO rotational schedule; camp and flights (from Calgary and Edmonton hubs only) are provided.

Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Supervisor & Special Projects job include:

- Report weekly on safety and status of each project
- Report OPEX/CAPEX monthly cost reporting
- Report accurate monthly accruals on each project
- Report on monthly contractor contract status report
- Manage Infrastructure:
- Ensure that all projects and contractors are compliant with all safety codes of practice
- Ensure that all contractors follow and execute a detailed quality management system
- Managing crews and executing work on behalf of other internal divisions
- Ensure all roadways are graded and maintained to a high standard
- Ensure all road signage is maintained and installed to Alberta Transportation standards
- Oversee Aerodrome operations including inbound/outbound flights, refueling operations, de-icing operations, runway surface management
- Directing heavy equipment operations
- Ensuring the site fuel depot is maintained and operational
- Ensure petroleum products and propane systems are filled to acceptable levels
- Oversee site refueling requirements
- Transportation of potable water and waste water to and from required facilities
- Site dust control including diversion from licensed water sources
- Surface water management and pumping
- Accountable for accurate reporting and tracking for water division and surface water management
- General site maintenance, cleanup and snow removal
- Creating and managing annual operating budgets
- Special Projects:
- Ensure that all projects and contractors are compliant with all safety codes of practice
- Ensure that all contractors follow and execute a detailed quality management system
- Ensure that all projects and contractors maintain accurate schedules of projects
- Ensure that all budgets and costs are maintained and over runs are accounted for via change orders
- Compile and maintain a Master Contractor list
- Follow proper protocol (Supply Chain Management) for all construction and renovation work
- Ensure staff are up-to-date on all protocols and training requirements
- Manage all day-to-day project coordination tasks
- Plan, organize and execute project activities on site
- Manage the execution of projects on camp/non-facility sites
- Creating and managing capital budgets
- Environment Health & Safety:
- Ensure all staff and contractors operate in a manner meeting or exceeding safety policies, standards and guidelines
- Ensure all staff and contractors operate in a manner meeting or exceeding the Environmental Field Guide
- Work with Safety Advisors to ensure Kick-Off meetings are done for every contractor and project
- Ensure that safety meetings are conducted daily and records kept by contractors on locations
- Direct contact with Safety Advisors on an ongoing basis
- Ensure all staff and contractors are orientated to policies and standards
- Ensure that Safe Work Permit standards are upheld
- Ensure the participation of all staff in the FLRA program
- Ensure the participation in the eTracker program
- Ensure that JSA?s are being completed and updated
- Create Safe Work Practices


- Journeyman or higher status in one of the construction trades
- 5+ years of experience in the industrial construction field
- Proven field leadership and management experience
- Ability to coordinate the activities of diverse groups
- Well-developed team skills with a collaborative work style
- Strong analytical, planning and business skills
- Possess initiative and have strong communication skills
- Ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to provide motivation, leadership and direction to contractors
- Working level knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and Safe Work Practices
- Valid H2S Alive Certificate
- Valid Driver?s Licence and clean Drivers Abstract
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for any employer with no restrictions
