Our client in Renfrew, ON is currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist. The candidate would have a combination of military deployment and supply experience. An understanding of aircraft maintenance experience would be a benefit to help understand the inventory being managed. This is a contract opportunity expected to go until the end of 2017.

Supply Chain Specialist Job Description:
Responsible for deployed customer supply demands filled to schedule and mobility kit inventory levels maintained at planned target stock levels. Coordination with multiple internal and external customers and the utilization of the Supply Planning Tools to conduct tactical management of various mobility kits in a complex multi-echelon supply network.
Day to Day responsibilities include:
- Solving day-to-day supply chain related problems to ensure parts required for deployments are available.
- Collecting and analyzing supply & maintenance data for tactical decision-making. Ability to utilize MS Excel to collect and process data.
- Efficiently prioritize all tasks to best support the program.
- Executing Asset Management best practices, ensuring adherence to common supply chain procedures, determining and coordinating continuous supply chain and deployment processes improvement opportunities.
- Key interfaces include:
- Liaison between strategic supply planning, asset managers Supply Chain Manager in support of procurement and tactical planning on inventory issues.
- Regular interactions with the Strategic Planner for demand forecasting & planning.
- Spare Engineering for aircraft and bill of material configuration issues.
- Attend/host internal meetings as necessary. Travel to external meetings with suppliers, customers as required.
- Carryout out off hours on call deployment Asset Manager Duties.
- Undertake all other duties deemed applicable by Supply Chain Manager.
- Analyze forecast modeling and trend data to determine target stock levels / replenishment decisions-Enter, track, and monitor customer requirements to support delivery of products and services
Supply Chain Specialist Job Skills:
- Able to correctly prioritize, plan and project manage with an aptitude for systems & tools to utilize computerized Toolsets and supply chain systems.
- An ability to use information to identify processes vulnerabilities, anticipate problems and suggest creative solutions and be able to present findings to others in a clear and concise manner.
- The ability to work in an integrated and diverse team and accomplish common program goals. Demonstrate initiative and decisiveness and the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. Excellent communication skills required with the customer on schedule timelines for pre and post inspections of deployed mobility kits.
- Root cause analysis: Understand root causes and contributing issues, utilize recognized problem solving techniques and learn from the experience to avoid similar outcomes in the future.
- Experience working with the Canadian Military is a plus.
- Supply and/or aircraft maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
- Must able to obtain secret clearance.
- Microsoft office experience is a plus.
