    • Job responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of air and hydraulic brakes, engines, transmissions, steering, and suspensions
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with vehicles and equipment including electrical issues
  • Keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Accountable for renewing annual safety certificates
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust units to specifications

    • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working on heavy duty trucks & trailers
  • Candidate must have own tools
  • Ability to use scanning device to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems with vehicles and equipment
  • Knowledge of how to operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
  • Must be reliable, dependable, flexible, a team player, and client focused
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to work both day shift and evening shift
  • 310T license under the Ontario College of Trades an asset/ or in process
  • 310S license is an asset but not required
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
