Our team is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to add to their Engineering and Technical Recruitment practice. Under minimal supervision you will maximize the growth of the Engineering & Technical (E&T) division through prioritized sales and customer service activities. The successful candidate will develop, source and fill Permanent Placement orders by matching qualified candidates with job orders based on specific client needs. Search Consultant Job responsibilities:
Identifies and develops account prospects utilizing cold calling, networking, direct mail and other sales techniques. Develops and conducts effective sales presentations.
Leverages industry contacts to build a network of professional and executive-level clients. Builds and maintains key relationships within the E&T sector in order to identify existing and future permanent placement needs.
Develops potential permanent placement orders. Markets E&T permanent placement services in addition to other lines of business when applicable. Performs follow up calls to gather information regarding open positions with clients and prospects.
Recruits prospective candidates ensuring the most effective possible match between client and candidate. Interviews prospective candidates, tests skills, performs reference checks and matches candidates to client needs. Accurately describes the position to the candidate to ensure compatibility and presents the candidate information to the client.
Develops and implements a recruitment strategy that will support current job orders and maintains a pool of qualified candidates for future needs. Utilizes knowledge of client requirements and contacts previous candidates for referrals.
Identifies and pursues non-traditional sourcing strategies and methods to acquire top talent. Builds proactive relationships with industry specific top performing candidates.
Maintains knowledge of the organization's operational systems, policies, procedures and guidelines. Tracks and maintains records on candidates, job orders and client status.
Represents the organization as a member of personnel associations, community organizations, and trade and business organizations to promote the Adecco and Roevin E&T brands and expand business contacts.
Ensures placement activities abide by all laws and regulations as they pertain to employment.
Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Search Consultant Job qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in related field or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
Minimum of five (5) years recruitment or business development experience within the Engineering/Technical or Construction sector
Working knowledge of labour and employment laws.
Proficient in PC software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail applications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with an ability to influence and motivate others
Ability to confidently source and approach new prospects, utilizing excellent presentation skills.
Skilled in the art of networking, as evidenced by current contacts in the local professional and business community.
Possesses superior organizational skills. Is able to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently
Proactive and able to solve problems effectively and rapidly using excellent analytical skills.
Proven consistently high levels of customer service performance.
Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs. May be required to travel.
