Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time 4th class Power Engineer to work a night shift, for our client, an industry leader in the Asphalt industry in Langley, BC.  To qualify for this role, you must have a Power Engineer educational background and a valid 4th-class steam ticket.   • Pay rate: $75,000 - $80,000 /year
  • Shift: Night Sift, from 12 AM – 8 AM (Only days shift during the training phase)
  • Location: Langley, BC
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring a hot oil heater
  • Offloading and loading trucks coming to the plant
  • Controlling the heat of the tanks using hot oil heaters
  • Manufacturing asphaltic products
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Perform other general duties at the company’s Terminal

    • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Power Engineer education with a valid 4th class steam ticket is needed
  • Previous experience with high-pressure boilers is a strong asset
  • Experience with pumps, piping, heat tracing, and hot oil heaters is an asset
  • Should have a strong work ethic, a good sense of humor and the ability to work in a small team
  • Must have a reliable method of transportation to and from work
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, being responsible, resourceful and autonomous
  • Able to work outdoors at height and in all environments
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
