Adecco is currently recruiting for permanent, full-time Certified 4th Class Power Engineer - Production Operators to work at our client, a reputable company in Port Moody, BC. In this role, you will be involved in all phases of batch processing and packaging.     • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Staging and charging of raw materials and completion of all associated documentation.
  • Loading finished products into tank trucks, drums, totes and other packaging machines
  • Loading and unloading railcars
  • Accurately weighing and recording material charges and times on documents and in the database.
  • Supporting plant EHS, Maintenance and Utility personnel as directed by management, may require moving pallets using a forklift (empty, raw material or product) and movement of drums, hoses and valve operation, including opening and closing manual valves
  • Using Distributive Control System (DCS) to move materials and increase production efficiency

    • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required with 3 years’ relevant work experience is preferred
  • Must have Production Operator Experience
  • A 4th class power certification is needed
  • Previous experience in the chemical industry / production is a huge asset
  • Computer skills (DCS, SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.) are required
  • Math skills (inc. weights, measures and conversions) are crucial for success
  • Lift and control a minimum of 50 lbs. load from floor level to standing position
  • Regularly walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including full face respirator, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hat.
  • Understanding of process equipment regarding function and assisting maintenance in feedback to maintain the equipment is a must
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
