Adecco is currently hiring for an Accessory Technician in Mississauga, ON. To qualify for this role, you should have prior experience working with automotive accessories and installation of customer vehicles using variety of hand and power tools as well as motorized shop equipment.

Key Responsibilities of the Accessory Technician:

  • Installation of Accessories (75%): install electronic, non-electronic, mechanical and other accessories. Use of hand tools, power tools and shop equipment (hoist, torches, etc.)
  • Customer Service (10%): Explanation of product and work performed on vehicle. Troubleshoot problems for product error and/or human error. Answer phones and answer general customer inquiries
  • Care & Control Product (10%): Repackage opened and unused product. Address items when incorrect part or product is delivered. Put away stock both in storage area and on store shelves. Keep shop supplies organized. Put small items in proper bins, store all items correctly
  • General housekeeping & Building Maintenance (5%): Sweep work area, clean store and stock room, take garbage out as needed, clean and shovel parking lot, yard and customer walkways, minor building repairs (inside & outside).

Working Conditions of the Accessory Technician :

  • Working under both extreme hot and cold temperature, depending on the time of the year
  • Hours of operation may vary during certain times of the year
  • Might be required to operate forklift, drive customer and company vehicle
  • Installing automotive wiring & vehicle hitches
  • Lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Frequent standing and squatting

Requirements of the Accessory Technician:

  • Prior experience as a technician, mechanic
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and complete one task at a time before moving on to another
  • Experience working with power tools
  • Minimum high school or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in the aftermarket accessory industry
  • Certification to install electronic accessories
  • Red Seal or Journeyman certificates are considered strong assets
