Account Manager/Outside Sales

Our Client is excited to fill an Account Manager position based in Maple Ridge, BC

As one of the lucky candidates chosen for these roles you will, as an Account Manager, provide superior customer service and be the driving factor to increase market share while utilizing your sales skills to help provide many opportunities for greater profits.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify business opportunities and sales prospects by prospecting and evaluating position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers; recommending solutions.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
  • Establishing contacts with major construction & infrastructure firms.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the sales, service and fulfillment obligations.
  • Follow industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Prepare proposals and client contracts
  • Maintain quality service by implementing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout BC up to 25% of the time.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
     
  • Skill/Experience Required

  • A minimum 3-5 years sales experience
  • Proven strong time management, planning and multi-tasking skills
  • Attitude & aptitude for sales
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Willingness and ability to learn
  • Heavy construction and steel knowledge are a major asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Project and Excel).
  • Must be fluent in English
