Responsibilities:
Answers customer requests over the phone or email on various topics across all core functions with a sense of urgency.
Works closely with the Direct Sales Force and broker partners to accurately expedite new business application input with offshore partners. Reach targets of portfolio growth and quality
Profitably renew existing policies
Identify cross- and up-selling opportunities
Provide commercial underwriting oversight
Take personal responsibility for the implementation of group-wide quality of service standards
Service customer segments based on operational standards
Interact closely with other core functions
Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure profitability and quality of customer portfolio
Take ownership of special projects and sales agent servicing needs for the Direct Sales Force channel and Direct Broker channel as needed.
Manages a large portfolio of policies with key responsibilities to include: Communication with the Direct Sales Force and broker partners in regards to policy renewal changes, policy construction & policy distribution
Responsible for managing collection of past due invoices and other policy items for assigned portfolio
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
B2B account management experience preferred.
Previous short-term trade credit commercial underwriting experience preferred.
Ability to profitably retain policyholders and build long-term relationships.
Ability to build strong relationships with agent producers located in region which results in strong renewal business production.
Expert know-how in specifics of market.
Ability to build extensive networks with close contacts to agents, market players and opinion leaders.
2-4 years of customer service or account management experience.
Ability to liaise with members of other core functions.
Ability to convince customers in negotiations.
Ability to profitably retain policyholders and build long-term relationships.
Ability to build strong relationships with sales agents located in region.
