Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Accounting Administrator to join our client, a reputable contractor in the construction industry located in Edmonton, AB. In this essential role, you will work independently under the Controller's supervision to manage receivables, payables, and assist with payroll and other accounting tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and have experience with Accounting Software such as Sage and/or QuickBooks. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and organized record-keeping.
  • Verify and complete payroll processes.
  • Work with team to complete billing, invoicing, payment processing, etc.
  • Work with team members, vendors, and clients to resolve issues.
  • Work under the direction of the Controller to manage receivables and payables.
  • Provide administrative support when necessary.
  • Seek opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations.
  • Manage communication and processing through third party vendor portals.
Requirements and Qualifications: 
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an administration role.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Competency with Sage/QuickBook is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
