Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets
Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
Entering receipts and processing payments
Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current
Assist accounting department as required

The qualification for the Accounting Assistant in Downtown Toronto include:

1-3 years of Accounting experience
Strong knowledge and understanding with Property, Casualty and Group Benefit insurance MANDATORY
Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping
Profecient with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Detail orientated individual and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
