Accounting Clerk job opening in Downtown Toronto

Adecco Professional is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our client in Downtown Toronto. Our client is falls within professional service in an Educational Institute. This will be a temporary contract to assist our client as they prepare for an audit. If you are a self-sufficient, detail-oriented individual with the ability to process high volume invoices in a time efficient manner, please read on to learn more!

The responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk include:

Full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Data Entry of invoices and time card entry
Matching of payables invoices with packing slips
Entering receipts and processing payments
Assist accounting department as required
Filing, scanning, as well as general office duties


Required experience of the Accounting Clerk includes:

1+ year of accounting experience- preferably in a professional service environment
Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principles (GAAP and GAAS)
Detail orientated individual and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
