Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tax return preparation

  • Reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • Preparation of T1's, T4s, T5s, HST, and other compliance returns

  • Generating management reports, financial analyses, and memos for clients

  • Communicating tax and accounting concepts to clients, addressing their inquiries

  • Managing CRA correspondence, requests, and audits with thorough and accessible documentation

  • Handling Adjusting Journal Entries, Working Papers, T2 Returns, and Compilation Engagement Financial Statements

 
Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Accounting/business diploma/certificate or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting

  • Proficient in the accounting cycle and balance sheet reconciliation

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks

  • Knowledgeable in Canadian tax matters encompassing personal, corporate, and trust

  • Familiarity with Caseware, Sage, Xero, Wagepoint, Hubdoc, and QBO Certification is advantageous

  • Proven multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Collaborative team spirit contributing positively to team and organizational objectives

  • Upholding high levels of integrity and confidentiality

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada
