Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Accounting / Settlement Analyst in Calgary, AB, to work a 6-month contract at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands. In this diverse role, you will be providing daily cash application support in a highly transactional area of the business with a large network of retail and wholesale customers.
Location: Downtown Calgary, AB | Hybrid
Shifts: Monday - Friday | 8 hours per day
Job type: Full-time | Temporary | 6-month contract
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling cash clearing activities
Booking related journal entries
Investigating cash discrepancies
Performing balance sheet account reconciliations
Supporting other team members
Performing other duties, as required
Requirements and Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline is required
Three to five years of related experience in accounting, finance, payments, or banking is a must
Previous exposure to financial accounting processes such as cash, general ledger and bank reconciliations or accounts receivable/accounts payable is also required
Should have working knowledge of SAP and intermediate excel skills
A continuous improvement and growth mindset with curiosity to seek greater knowledge of systems & processes is crucial for success
Should have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
