Adecco is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Analyst. This is a full-time permanent role to work with our Crown Corporation client located in Ottawa, ON.
The ideal candidate must hold a Security Clearance or be eligible for one.
The Accounts Payable Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
-    Analyzing problems and recommending solutions;
-    Providing guidance relating to the Procurement-to-Payment system and process;
-    Analyzing and performing corrective entries for both manually and electronically processed payments and invoices;
-    Ensuring timely and accurate posting of both manual and electronic payments/invoices against matching goods and services receipts;
-    Ensuring expenses are properly recorded;
-    Posting all non-purchase order invoices such as request for payments;
-    Monitoring and resolving issues preventing invoices from being posted in SAP;
-    Investigating and taking corrective measures to resolve the root causes of invoice tolerance issues;
-    Analyzing tax code calculation errors and discrepancies between invoices and POs to determine resolutions;
-    Maintaining accurate records, assembling, analyzing, and compiling various information, including payments and tax forms;
-    Cross-referencing all documents and ensuring data accuracy, integrity and compliance with regulations in effect;
-    Recording and maintaining executive payment folder for all non-standard requests for payment;
-    Following up with approvers to ensure timely and accurate payments;
-    Running, preparing system reports, and collecting data reporting requirements;
-    Preparing working papers to support manual accruals to supplement Accounts Payable system;
-    Recommending accounts to be accrued to the General Ledger;
-    Assisting in training and recommending improvements to overall processes;
-    Assisting the Accounts Payable team in achieving its objectives.
The Accounts Payable Analyst must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field;
-    3 years minimum of experience working directly in an Accounts Payable environment;
-    Must be fluent in both Canadian official languages (English-French); 
-    Experience in the development and application of financial practices, procedures and job aids;
-    Experience in the operation of financial accounting systems;
-    Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs;
-    Experience in E-Invoicing;
-    Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decision-making skills;
-    Ability to meet deadlines in a team environment;
-    Proven problem-solving abilities;
-    Strong interpersonal skills;
-    Work proficiency with SAP is considered an asset.
