Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Accounts Payable Clerk in Markham, ON to work for our client, a company that specializes in designing and distributing customer products. In this role, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, employee expense reports and assisting the accounting department as needed.   • Responsibilities:

  • Enter Supplier invoices into the accounting system, matching against purchase order receivings.
  • Enter Vendor invoices, ensuring correct coding, authorized approval and enter into correct accounting period based on matching principle
  • Check accuracy of employee reimbursement expenses by ensuring proper coding, receipts and documentation are attached
  • Enter data into accounting system on a timely basis and process check runsin a timely manner
  • Communicate with employees in regards to proper back-up and timely submission of expense reports
  • Providing weekly list of wire transfers to Management for approval
  • Setting up wire transfers into the on-line banking system
  • Obtain authorized signatures for checks
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 diploma is required
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel)
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in accounts payable is required
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems and procedures
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
