Accounts Payable Specialist| $45K+ - $50K+l Vancouver, BC l Permanent

Adecco Professionals has partnered with a well-established property developer that is leader in building a luxury homes but more importantly building communities. The company has grown to a significant size in a short period of time and is working on numerous projects that is leading the company to new heights. You will be part of a collegial and collaborative team with a lush office located in Broadway where everything is at your doorsteps.

Responsibilities:



Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and review of invoices for assigned projects and companies; ensuring billings are supported by contracts, schedule of values, Timberline commitments and purchase orders, handwritten purchase orders, quotations, estimates and unit rate agreements;
Obtain and compile all necessary approvals and backup for cheque payments;
Match invoices with appropriate back-up documentation weekly;
Complete mid-month and month-end cheque runs as per payable schedule;
Process rush cheque requisitions as required
Process utilities invoices timely and accurately;
Process and verify coding of colleague expense claims
Coordinate and obtain correct documentation for release of construction holdbacks and ensure timely release as per holdback logs maintained by the Construction Coordinator;
Enter commitments and fee proposals into Timberline
Set-up vendors in Timberline;
Verify vendor’s GST and Work Safe Clearance and print clearance letters as required;
Maintain accounts payable filing system;
Correspond with vendors, realtors, and other representatives regarding billing discrepancies and outstanding invoices;
Manage the transition of utilities and other necessary accounts by strata upon unit closings;
Assist closing coordinator in closing of all unit utility accounts;
Track monthly metrics as required;
Assist in developing and implementing policies & procedures;
Other tasks as assigned by the AP Lead, Corporate Controller, Development Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO.


Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
Effective communication skills
Experience with Timberline or other real estate accounting software an asset
Proficient in MS Office Suite
