Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, Kanata, ON. To qualify for this Accounts Receivable Clerk role, you must have 3-5 years corporate collections experience, strong attention to detail and excellent customer service. Our client is a Canadian company and a member of TeamBest™. This position is Monday – Friday with flexible hours, the salary for this position will be based on experience.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Manager of Finance the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:            
  • Collection calls and/or correspondence
  • Resolve client discrepancies and short payments
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts – Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations
  • Application of cash receipts
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process
  • Must communicate & follow up effectively with sales regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Review, printing and posting of all customer invoices
  • Preparation and data entry of journal entries
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting Department

Accounts Receivable Clerk Qualifications

  • QAD knowledge is a GREAT ASSET            
  • 3-5 years corporate Collections experience required
  • Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Excellent English verbal/written communication skills essential
  • Multi-lingual capabilities an asset
  • Must be familiar with collection strategies and levers
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
